Law & Order, our third and final “Shakespeare Studio” production, featured scenes and speeches about justice, judgment, and mercy from Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, Henry IV part 1, Measure for Measure, Macbeth, A Winter’s Tale, The Tempest, and The Merchant of Venice. Like the first two studios – Love & War and Music, Magic, & Murder – we performed at Brotherwell Brewery and Taproom in East Waco.

The three Shakespeare Studio productions were generously funded by Creative Waco’s Arts Match Program (AMP) Grant.

We received a $9,000 AMP Grant to support production of the three Shakespeare Studios, including $6,000 to purchase portable lighting and sound equipment that we and other small, scrappy, and homeless arts organizations could use to create performance spaces where there are none.

Creative Waco is our local arts agency, which exists to grow and support a thriving cultural and creative community in Waco and McLennan County. And they are doing just that! Thank you so much, Creative Waco!

The first two Shakespeare Studios were Love & War (July 2019) and Music, Magic, & Murder (October 2019). Enjoy these photo galleries! Click a photo to enlarge and scroll through them.

We got to test-run an outside production with Music, Magic, & Murder in October 2019. The full moon over us fit with the creepy Halloween vibe we were going for, and we got to use our new portable lighting system!

Our first Shakespeare Studio production, Love & War, was a big success! In the heat of July (in an un-air-conditioned taproom!) we played to two full houses and got raves from the audience.
